For the Love of Gobies |

I chose my pebble butterfly and my banded shrimp, and also discovered a chunk of yellow sponge laying at the bottom of one of the salt water cubes. Remembering my small spot of it at home already, I added that to my collection. Another piece of "dead coral" with a spot of purple sponge growing from it's bottom caught my eye before I was finished on my shopping spree. I looked for more live rock, but didn't find any pieces that appealed to me, so decided to wait until we got a new shipment in at work or until I spied another dead coral that intrigued me before adding anymore. Upon introducing these new additions to the tank, I noticed, to my surprise that the last of the 2 chromos had survived the night so far. With little left of his tail, I watched him sadly check out his newest tank mates. This is where I have to break and tell you all, I am forever amazed at the changes in this tank daily. Each day seems to bring something new to see, and I don't always have a chance to write things down. Forgive me if I miss anything. I am in awe of the effect that adding creatures brings about, and encourage anyone who has the chance, watch a saltwater tank for a while. The beings that we know so little about are the most fascinating of creatures! |
I have taken pictures of the tank with all of it's inhabitants and the many tunnels and caves created for Lucky. Of course, I can't post them ALL, there are far too many for that, but I am bringing you my favorites. Until my next post, you will find pictures of my tank and each of the creatures inside of it on the following pages. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
