Eheim 2211 Visi-Jet VJ 100 |
To get things started I needed
another tank, and a friend of mine was able to help me out here.
She sold to me (for an awesome price) a 29 gallon flat back hexagon
tank, complete with stand, hood, light, Eheim 2211 pump/filter, Visi-Jet
VJ100 pump/power head, and submersible heater. There were other
items, but this is what I've used. On 4/2/01 I cleaned everything
thoroughly, using hot water and a scrubber pad. I filled the tank
with tap water and attempted to hook up the Eheim. This was a
little tricky, so I relied once again on the help of my coworkers.
Luann sat with me and explained how to set it up/put it together, and
also how to check to see if it was all working properly. I came
home that night and couldn't get the water to cycle through it, so I
waited until morning. Again, taking the pump this time, I went to
the store, where Adam hooked it up, showed me how to prime it to start
the water flow, and confirmed that it was working properly. |
Again, I brought it home, along with the
other supplies that Adam showed me I would need. Luckily there
wasn't too much, and I was on my way.
I went home and played with the Eheim for about an hour before getting it running properly and housed in the stand beneath the tank. During the course of all of this, the small stopper for the hose disappeared, so I substituted by using a small piece of Saran Wrap with a rubber band to plug the end for the time being.
